European stock markets are trading lower on Friday as investors take a breather from a global equity market rally that has pushed UK stocks to record highs.
Europe's leading Blue-chip index, EURO STOXX 50 fell 6.90 points or 0.2 percent to trade at 3,433.06. UK's benchmark index FTSE 100 0.03 points to trade at 7,415.98.
Germany's benchmark index DAX fell 52.41 points or 0.43 percent to trade at 12,030.77. French benchmark index CAC 40 declined 7.96 points or 0.16 percent to trade at 5,005.42.
On Thursday, European stock markets settled higher. Europe's leading Blue-chip index, EURO STOXX 50 went up 30.64 points or 0.9 percent to settle at 3,439.96. UK's benchmark index FTSE 100 gained 47.31 points or 0.64 percent to close at 7,415.95.
