European stock markets are trading lower on Monday as investors prepare for a hectic week of corporate earnings both here and in the United States.
Europe's leading Blue-chip index, EURO STOXX 50 fell 3.01 points or 0.09 percent to trade at 3,270.10. Germany's benchmark index DAX fell 23.48 points or 0.2 percent to trade at 11,604.47. French benchmark index CAC 40 declined 1.32 points or 0.03 percent to trade at 4,824.10.
On the other hand, UK's benchmark index FTSE 100 went up 5.00 points or 0.07 percent to trade at 7,193.30.
On Friday, European stock markets closed higher. Europe's leading Blue-chip index, EURO STOXX 50 rose 19.50 points or 0.6 percent to settle at 3,273.11. UK's benchmark index FTSE 100 went up 47.55 points or 0.67 percent to close at 7,188.30.
