European stock markets are trading higher on Friday as a small recovery in oil prices lifts energy stocks, while Treasuries remain under pressure ahead of a US jobs report that could fuel expectations the Federal Reserve will accelerate the pace of interest rate rises.
Europe's leading Blue-chip index, EURO STOXX 50 gained 20.43 points or 0.6 percent to trade at 3,430.32. UK's benchmark index FTSE 100 gained 31.47 points or 0.43 percent to trade at 7,346.43.
Meanwhile, Germany's benchmark index DAX gained 52.61 points or 0.44 percent to trade at 12,031.00. French benchmark index CAC 40 rose 23.14 points or 0.46 percent to trade at 5,004.65.
On Thursday, European stock markets closed higher. Europe's leading Blue-chip index, EURO STOXX 50 went up 20.27 points or 0.6 percent to settle at 3,409.89. Germany's benchmark index DAX gained 11.08 points or 0.09 percent to end at 11,978.39. French benchmark index CAC 40 went up 21.03 points or 0.42 percent to end at 4,981.51.
