European stock markets are trading higher on Wednesday as the U.S. corporate earnings season continues to impress and the U.S. dollar rebounded modestly in overnight Asia trading.
Europe's leading Blue-chip index, EURO STOXX 50 rose 38.52 points or 1.17 percent to trade at 3,320.05. UK's benchmark index FTSE 100 gained 42.04 points or 0.59 percent to trade at 7,192.38.
Meanwhile, Germany's benchmark index DAX gained 147.44 points or 1.27 percent to trade at 11,742.38. French benchmark index CAC 40 went up 50.79 points or 1.05 percent to trade at 4,880.82.
On Tuesday, European stock markets settled higher. Europe's leading Blue-chip index, EURO STOXX 50 gained 8.49 points or 0.26 percent to settle at 3,281.53. Germany's benchmark index DAX rose 49.19 points or 0.43 percent to end at 11,594.94. French benchmark index CAC 40 rose 8.62 points or 0.18 percent to end at 4,830.03.
