European stock markets settled mixed on Tuesday as investors reacted to a largely disappointing batch of corporate earnings.

Europe's leading Blue-chip index, EURO STOXX 50 rose 0.01 points to settle at 3,641.89. Germany's benchmark index DAX declined 2.51 points or 0.02 percent to end at 12,804.53. French benchmark index CAC 40 dropped 11.30 points or 0.21 percent to end at 5,406.10.

On the other hand, UK's benchmark index FTSE 100 went up 67.66 points or 0.91 percent to close at 7,522.03.
