European stock markets settled lower on Tuesday as investors became more risk-averse as a meeting of foreign ministers of the Group of Seven (G7) nations shone the spotlight on geopolitical concerns.
Europe's leading Blue-chip index, EURO STOXX 50 fell 10.40 points or 0.30 percent to settle at 3,470.04. Germany's benchmark index DAX lost 61.17 points or 0.50 percent to end at 12,139.35. French benchmark index CAC 40 shed 5.58 points or 0.11 percent to end at 5,101.86.
On the other hand, UK's benchmark index FTSE 100 went up 16.56 points or 0.23 percent to close at 7,365.50.
