European stock markets closed lower on Thursday as investors focused on fresh corporate reports and digested the latest remarks by President-elect Donald Trump.
Europe's leading Blue-chip index, EURO STOXX 50 fell 21.24 points or 0.64 percent to settle at 3,286.70. Germany's benchmark index DAX lost 125.13 points or 1.07 percent to end at 11,521.04. French benchmark index CAC 40 declined 24.74 points or 0.51 percent to end at 4,863.97.
On the other hand, UK's benchmark index FTSE 100 went up 1.88 points or 0.03 percent to close at 7,292.37.
