European stock markets settled higher on Tuesday, with gains for miners and oil giants offsetting concerns over U.S. President Donald Trump's meeting later this week with his Chinese counterpart and U.S. jobs data.
Europe's leading Blue-chip index, EURO STOXX 50 rose 8.72 points or 0.25 percent to settle at 3,481.66. UK's benchmark index FTSE 100 gained 39.13 points or 0.54 percent to close at 7,321.82.
Meanwhile, Germany's benchmark index DAX gained 25.14 points or 0.21 percent to end at 12,282.34. French benchmark index CAC 40 went up 15.22 points or 0.3 percent to end at 5,101.13.
