European stock markets closed marginally higher on Monday as a rally in construction firms tempered investor disappointment over potential deals unravelling.
Europe's leading Blue-chip index, EURO STOXX 50 gained 5.21 points or 0.16 percent to settle at 3,309.30. UK's benchmark index FTSE 100 rose 9.30 points or 0.13 percent to close at 7,253.00.
Meanwhile, Germany's benchmark index DAX rose 18.64 points or 0.16 percent to end at 11,822.67. French benchmark index CAC 40 0.06 points or 0 percent to end at 4,845.18.
