European stock markets closed higher on Wednesday as earnings reports from German engineering and technology group Siemens and Swedish carmaker Volvo boosted industrial shares.
Europe's leading Blue-chip index, EURO STOXX 50 went up 28.24 points or 0.87 percent to settle at 3,258.92. UK's benchmark index FTSE 100 rose 8.50 points or 0.12 percent to close at 7,107.65.
Meanwhile, Germany's benchmark index DAX gained 124.19 points or 1.08 percent to end at 11,659.50. French benchmark index CAC 40 went up 45.68 points or 0.96 percent to end at 4,794.58.
