European stock markets closed higher on Tuesday, as investors reacted to fresh data from China and volatility in currency markets.
UK's benchmark index FTSE 100 rose 37.70 points or 0.52 percent to close at 7,275.47. Germany's benchmark index DAX rose 19.31 points or 0.17 percent to end at 11,583.30. French benchmark index CAC 40 gained 0.66 points or 0.01 percent to end at 4,888.23.
On the other hand, Europe's leading Blue-chip index, EURO STOXX 50 fell 2.76 points or 0.08 percent to settle at 3,306.21.
