European stock markets closed higher on Tuesday, led by banks, carmakers and travel and leisure shares, after better-than-forecast Chinese manufacturing data lifted investor sentiment.
Europe's leading Blue-chip index, EURO STOXX 50 gained 6.35 points or 0.19 percent to settle at 3,315.02. UK's benchmark index FTSE 100 gained 35.06 points or 0.49 percent to close at 7,177.89. French benchmark index CAC 40 gained 16.95 points or 0.35 percent to end at 4,899.33.
On the other hand, Germany's benchmark index DAX lost 14.09 points or 0.12 percent to end at 11,584.24.
