European stock markets closed higher on Tuesday as concerns over political instability eased and investors focused on the upcoming meeting of the European Central Bank.
Europe's leading Blue-chip index, EURO STOXX 50 gained 48.01 points or 1.57 percent to settle at 3,100.76. UK's benchmark index FTSE 100 gained 33.01 points or 0.49 percent to close at 6,779.84.
Meanwhile, Germany's benchmark index DAX gained 90.49 points or 0.85 percent to end at 10,775.32. French benchmark index CAC 40 rose 57.62 points or 1.26 percent to end at 4,631.94.
