Asian stock markets are trading mixed on Wednesday. Hong Kong's Hang Seng gained 104.42 points or 0.47 percent to trade at 22,551.12. Singapore's Straits Times gained 5.04 points or 0.17 percent to trade at 2,960.27. Taiwan's TAIEX gained 1.66 points or 0.02 percent to trade at 9,383.80.

On the other hand, Japan's benchmark index, Nikkei 225 lost 35.95 points or 0.19 percent to trade at 19,214.57. China's benchmark index, Shanghai Composite declined 8.28 points or 0.26 percent to trade at 3,146.76. South Korea's KOSPI declined 1.81 points or 0.09 percent to trade at 2,034.17.
