Asian stock markets are trading lower on Friday on signs of strong U.S. economic growth, while the euro inched up after sliding overnight on data suggesting slowing growth in Europe.
China's benchmark index, Shanghai Composite lost 3.04 points or 0.09 percent to trade at 3,207.20. Hong Kong's Hang Seng lost 177.86 points or 0.73 percent to trade at 24,123.23. Singapore's Straits Times declined 0.22 points or 0.01 percent to trade at 3,173.02.
South Korea's KOSPI declined 1.15 points or 0.05 percent to trade at 2,163.49. Taiwan's TAIEX fell 19.19 points or 0.19 percent to trade at 9,828.96.
On the other hand, Japan's benchmark index, Nikkei 225 went up 116.78 points or 0.61 percent to trade at 19,180.00.
