Asian stock markets are trading lower on Monday. Japan's benchmark index, Nikkei 225 lost 36.96 points or 0.19 percent to trade at 19,364.19. China's benchmark index, Shanghai Composite fell 4.77 points or 0.15 percent to trade at 3,118.21.
Hong Kong's Hang Seng fell 148.49 points or 0.67 percent to trade at 21,872.26. Singapore's Straits Times declined 16.99 points or 0.58 percent to trade at 2,920.87. Taiwan's TAIEX lost 52.16 points or 0.56 percent to trade at 9,274.62.
On the other hand, South Korea's KOSPI rose 0.99 points or 0.05 percent to trade at 2,043.23.
