Asian stock markets are trading higher on Tuesday as investors awaited a speech by U.S. President Donald Trump for signals on tax reform and infrastructure spending.
Japan's benchmark index, Nikkei 225 went up 125.77 points or 0.66 percent to trade at 19,233.24. China's benchmark index, Shanghai Composite went up 3.73 points or 0.12 percent to trade at 3,232.39.
Hong Kong's Hang Seng 0.53 points or 0 percent to trade at 23,925.58. South Korea's KOSPI rose 6.16 points or 0.3 percent to trade at 2,091.68.
On the other hand, Singapore's Straits Times lost 4.13 points or 0.13 percent to trade at 3,104.49. Taiwan's TAIEX fell 18.84 points or 0.19 percent to trade at 9,750.47.
