Asian stock markets are trading higher on Tuesday on the back of a strong Wall Street with markets discounting the potential impact of Italy's referendum vote, while U.S. Treasury yields firmed as robust economic data pointed to an interest rate hike next week.
Japan's benchmark index, Nikkei 225 gained 79.73 points or 0.44 percent to trade at 18,354.72. China's benchmark index, Shanghai Composite rose 5.25 points or 0.16 percent to trade at 3,209.95. Hong Kong's Hang Seng rose 188.93 points or 0.84 percent to trade at 22,694.48.
Singapore's Straits Times went up 3.32 points or 0.11 percent to trade at 2,946.37. South Korea's KOSPI gained 21.74 points or 1.11 percent to trade at 1,985.10. Taiwan's TAIEX rose 99.60 points or 1.09 percent to trade at 9,260.26.
