Asian stock markets are trading higher on Wednesday reflecting upbeat U.S. growth news while oil steadied after a sharp drop overnight as OPEC struggled to agree on a glut-draining production cut.
Japan's benchmark index, Nikkei 225 rose 27.75 points or 0.15 percent to trade at 18,334.79. China's benchmark index, Shanghai Composite fell 17.76 points or 0.54 percent to trade at 3,265.17. Hong Kong's Hang Seng rose 98.15 points or 0.43 percent to trade at 22,835.22.
Singapore's Straits Times went up 24.78 points or 0.86 percent to trade at 2,903.92. South Korea's KOSPI went up 8.14 points or 0.41 percent to trade at 1,986.53. Taiwan's TAIEX went up 28.52 points or 0.31 percent to trade at 9,220.90.
