Asian stock markets closed mixed on Friday. Japan's benchmark index, Nikkei 225 went up 127.36 points or 0.66 percent to settle at 19,401.15. China's benchmark index, Shanghai Composite went up 5.30 points or 0.17 percent to close at 3,122.98.

Singapore's Straits Times went up 6.77 points or 0.23 percent to end at 2,937.54. South Korea's KOSPI went up 5.59 points or 0.27 percent to end at 2,042.24.

On the other hand, Hong Kong's Hang Seng declined 50.22 points or 0.23 percent to end at 22,009.18. Taiwan's TAIEX lost 33.57 points or 0.36 percent to end at 9,326.78.
