Asian stock markets closed higher on Tuesday as investors judged the selloff after Italy's referendum to be overdone, with robust U.S. economic data also helping sentiment.
Japan's benchmark index, Nikkei 225 rose 85.55 points or 0.47 percent to settle at 18,360.54. Hong Kong's Hang Seng gained 169.60 points or 0.75 percent to end at 22,675.15. Singapore's Straits Times went up 6.07 points or 0.21 percent to end at 2,949.12.
South Korea's KOSPI gained 26.50 points or 1.35 percent to end at 1,989.86. Taiwan's TAIEX gained 90.11 points or 0.98 percent to end at 9,250.77.
On the ohter hand, China's benchmark index, Shanghai Composite declined 5.06 points or 0.16 percent to close at 3,199.65.
