Asian stock markets settled higher on Friday after U.S. President Donald Trump promised that he would soon cut taxes for businesses.
Japan's benchmark index, Nikkei 225 jumped 471.26 points or 2.49 percent to settle at 19,378.93. China's benchmark index, Shanghai Composite went up 13.52 points or 0.42 percent to close at 3,196.70. Hong Kong's Hang Seng gained 49.84 points or 0.21 percent to end at 23,574.98.
Singapore's Straits Times rose 20.43 points or 0.66 percent to end at 3,100.39. South Korea's KOSPI went up 9.20 points or 0.45 percent to end at 2,075.08. Taiwan's TAIEX gained 75.41 points or 0.79 percent to end at 9,665.59.
