Indian rupee has remained stable on Monday against US dollar. Rupee has witnessed a high of 66.99 and a low of 67.10. Its 52-week range was 66.07-68.86.
The Dollar index, a measure of the value of the US dollar relative to a basket of foreign currencies, declined 0.99 percent to trade at 3.00.
On Friday, Indian rupee has rose 5 paise or 0.07 percent against dollar to settle at 67.02.
Local stock markets dropped on Monday erasing earlier gains. The Nifty was trading near 4-month high. At 9.29 a.m, the Sensex was trading down 44.82 points or 0.16% at 28,423.93 with 17 components falling. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading lower by 0.85 points or 0.01% at 8,820.85 with 29 components falling.
