Indian rupee has weakened against US dollar on Thursday. Local currency declined 8 paise or 0.12 percent against dollar to settle at 64.63.
Rupee has witnessed a high of 64.44 and a low of 64.64. Its 52-week range was 63.93-68.86.
The Dollar index, a measure of the value of the US dollar relative to a basket of foreign currencies, fell 0.05 percent to settle at 95.96.
Local stock markets ended flat on Thursday snapping earlier losses. At the close, the 30-share benchmark index, BSE Sensex ended flat with a rise of 23.20 points or 0.08% at 30,857.52, 15 components registering rise. Meanwhile, the broad based NSE Nifty went up by 12.85 or 0.14% at 9,504.10 with 26 components posting rise.
