Indian rupee has appreciated against US dollar on Thursday. Local currency rose 18 paise or 0.27 percent against dollar to trade at 66.84.
Rupee has witnessed a high of 66.83 and a low of 66.87. Its 52-week range was 64.70-68.79.
The Dollar index, a measure of the value of the US dollar relative to a basket of foreign currencies, declined 0.17 percent to trade at 95.50.
On Wednesday, Indian rupee has remained stable against US dollar to settle at 67.02.
Local stock markets bounced back on Thursday snapping earlier losses. At 9.08 a.m, the Sensex was trading up 259.52 points or 0.91% at 28,766.94 with 26 components gaining. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading higher by 96.20 points or 1.10% at 8,873.35 with 38 components gaining.
