European stock markets settled marginally higher on Friday. Europe's leading Blue-chip index, EURO STOXX 50 gained 5.24 points or 0.14 percent to settle at 3,688.72.

While UK's benchmark index FTSE 100 went up 6.21 points or 0.09 percent to close at 7,013.47. Germany's benchmark index DAX went up 16.12 points or 0.14 percent to end at 11,864.59.

Meanwhile, French benchmark index CAC 40 went up 13.40 points or 0.26 percent to end at 5,146.70.
