Dollar-rupee futures gained on Friday. USDINR April contract moved up 8 paise or 0.12 percent at 64.69 as against previous close of 64.61.
The most active April contract witnessed a high of 64.7125 and a low of 64.625 after opening at 64.65.
A total of 0.11 million contracts were traded till 09:31 pm. Turnover for April contract was at Rs6.85 billion. Meanwhile, open interest was at 1.11 million.
In spot market, rupee has declined 6 paise or 0.09 percent against dollar to trade at 64.62.
Local stock markets continued to gain for the third day on Friday. At 9.25 a.m, the Sensex was trading up 161.95 points or 0.55% at 29,584.34 with 22 components gaining. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading higher by 32.05 points or 0.35% at 9,168.45 with 36 components gaining.
