Dollar-rupee futures gained on Friday. USDINR July contract went up 4 paise or 0.06 percent at 64.89 as against previous close of 64.85.
The most active July contract witnessed a high of 64.95 and a low of 64.8525 after opening at 64.90.
A total of 0.13 million contracts were traded till 09:29 pm. Turnover for July contract was at Rs8.10 billion. Meanwhile, open interest was at 1.06 million.
In spot market, rupee has fell 5 paise or 0.08 percent against dollar to trade at 64.68.
Local stock markets dropped on Friday erasing earlier gains. Both Sensex and Nifty were trading below 1-month low. At 9.24 a.m, the Sensex was trading down 140.15 points or 0.45% at 30,717.37 with 20 components falling. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading lower by 43.15 points or 0.45% at 9,460.95 with 36 components falling.
