Wholesale inflation rises to 5.13% in September 2018

Wholesale price inflation (WPI) in India stood at 5.13% for the month of September, 2018 as compared to 4.53% for the previous month and 3.14% during the corresponding month of the previous year.

Primary articles inflation was came at 2.97% in September as compared negative to 0.15% in the previous month. Manufactured products inflation came at 4.22% in September.

Inflation for fuel and power segment came at 16.65% in September as compared to 17.73% for the previous month.

Build up inflation rate in the financial year so far was 3.87% compared to a build up rate of 1.50% in the corresponding period of the previous year.
