Asian stock markets are trading mixed on Friday. China's benchmark index, Shanghai Composite declined 43.64 points or 1.18 percent to trade at 3,662.12. Singapore's Straits Times lost 45.20 points or 1.39 percent to trade at 3,204.32.

South Korea's KOSPI declined 7.80 points or 0.39 percent to trade at 2,011.23. Taiwan's TAIEX fell 13.72 points or 0.16 percent to trade at 8,637.77.

On the other hand, Japan's benchmark index, Nikkei 225 went up 2.46 points or 0.01 percent to trade at 20,525.29. Hong Kong's Hang Seng went up 137.84 points or 0.56 percent to trade at 24,635.82. (10:54pm EDT).
