Asian stock markets settled mixed on Friday. Japan's benchmark index, Nikkei 225 lost 185.49 points or 0.95 percent to settle at 19,285.63.

While China's benchmark index, Shanghai Composite gained 9.00 points or 0.24 percent to close at 3,691.10. Hong Kong's Hang Seng declined 10.88 points or 0.04 percent to end at 24,486.20.

Singapore's Straits Times rose 14.34 points or 0.42 percent to end at 3,445.93. South Korea's KOSPI declined 2.76 points or 0.14 percent to end at 2,019.80. Taiwan's TAIEX lost 115.40 points or 1.2 percent to end at 9,503.72.
