Asian stock markets closed higher on Friday. Japan's benchmark index, Nikkei 225 gained 56.65 points or 0.33 percent to settle at 17,357.51.

While China's benchmark index, Shanghai Composite gained 34.13 points or 1.39 percent to close at 2,486.79. Hong Kong's Hang Seng rose 87.48 points or 0.37 percent to end at 23,437.12.

Singapore's Straits Times went up 28.66 points or 0.86 percent to end at 3,344.26.
South Korea's KOSPI gained 6.80 points or 0.35 percent to end at 1,964.84. Taiwan's TAIEX gained 12.66 points or 0.14 percent to end at 9,091.53.
