Asian stock markets are trading sharply higher on Tuesday as investors weighed manufacturing data ahead of key monetary policy decisions in Europe and the U.S. this month.
Japan's benchmark index, Nikkei 225 went up 197.69 points or 1 percent to trade at 19,945.16.China's benchmark index, Shanghai Composite went up 7.53 points or 0.22 percent to trade at 3,452.93. Hong Kong's Hang Seng went up 338.31 points or 1.54 percent to trade at 22,334.73.
While Singapore's Straits Times went up 18.36 points or 0.64 percent to trade at 2,874.30. South Korea's KOSPI rose 23.71 points or 1.19 percent to trade at 2,015.68. Taiwan's TAIEX rose 92.96 points or 1.12 percent to trade at 8,413.57.
