Dollar-rupee futures weakened on Friday against US dollar. USDINR November contract moved down 12 paise or 0.19 percent at 61.88 as against previous close of 62.
The most active November contract touched a high of 61.975 and a low of 61.85 after opening at 61.95. A total of 0.33 million contracts were traded till 12:37 pm. Turnover for November contract was at Rs 20.41 billion. Meanwhile, open interest was at 0.88 million.
Indian rupee has strengthened on Friday against US dollar. Indian currency went up 10 paise or 0.16 percent against dollar to trade at 61.85. Rupee has witnessed a high of 61.82 and a low of 61.91. Its 52-week range was 58.34-63.31. The Dollar index, a measure of the value of the US dollar relative to a basket of foreign currencies, went up 0.01 percent to trade at 87.60.
