The International crude oil price of Indian Basket declined 0.44% to USD 47.77 a barrel (bbl) on Aug. 19, 2015 as against USD 47.98 a bbl on Aug. 18, 2015.
In rupee terms, the price of Indian Basket decreased to Rs 3,115.56 a bbl on Aug. 19, 2015 as compared to Rs 3,129.26 a bbl on Aug. 18, 2015.
Rupee closed at Rs 65.22 per USD on Aug. 19, 2015.
Indian equities dropped on Thursday erasing earlier gains. At 10.32 a.m, the Sensex was trading down 51.76 points or 0.19% at 27,879.88 with 20 components falling. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading lower by 32.35 points or 0.38% at 8,462.80 with 39 components falling.
