Crude oil price of Indian basket rises marginally

The international crude oil price of Indian basket gained 0.08% to USD 51.12 a barrel (bbl) on May 16, 2017 as against USD 51.08 a bbl on May 15, 2017.

In rupee terms, the price of Indian basket increased to Rs 3,275.80 a bbl on May 16, 2017 as compared to Rs 3,275.25 a bbl on May 15, 2017.

Rupee closed stronger at Rs. 64.08 per USD on May 16, 2017 as against Rs. 64.12 per USD on May 15, 2017.

Local stock markets dropped on Wednesday erasing earlier gains. At 11.52 a.m, the Sensex was trading down 5.43 points or 0.02% at 30,577.17 with 14 components falling. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading lower by 10.35 points or 0.11% at 9,501.90 with 29 components falling.
