Crude oil price of Indian basket falls marginally

The international crude oil price of Indian basket declined 0.32% to USD 49.55 a barrel (bbl) on May 12, 2017 as against USD 49.71 a bbl on May 11, 2017.

In rupee terms, the price of Indian basket decreased to Rs 3,186.16 a bbl on May 12, 2017 as compared to Rs 3,203.24 a bbl on May 11, 2017.

Rupee closed stronger at Rs. 64.30 per USD on May 12, 2017 as against Rs. 64.44 per USD on May 11, 2017.

Local stocks markets bounced back on Monday snapping earlier losses. Both Sensex and Nifty were trading at a new life time high. At 11.16 a.m, the Sensex was trading up 124.70 points or 0.41% at 30,312.85 with 22 components gaining. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading higher by 39.20 points or 0.42% at 9,440.10 with 40 components gaining.
