The international crude oil price of Indian basket declined 2.16% to USD 49.44 a barrel (bbl) on March 22, 2017 as against USD 50.53 a bbl on March 21, 2017.

In rupee terms, the price of Indian basket decreased to Rs 3,237.55 a bbl on March 22, 2017 as compared to Rs 3,300.30 a bbl on March 21, 2017.

Rupee closed weaker at Rs 65.49 per USD on March 22, 2017 as compared to Rs 65.31 per USD on March 21, 2017.

Local stock markets bounced back on Thursday snapping earlier losses. At 12.59 p.m, the Sensex was trading up 95.00 points or 0.33% at 29,262.68 with 22 components gaining. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading higher by 39.25 points or 0.43% at 9,069.70 with 39 components gaining.
