The international crude oil price of Indian basket declined 1% to USD 50.40 a barrel (bbl) on April 25, 2017 as against USD 50.91 a bbl on April 24, 2017.

In rupee terms, the price of Indian basket decreased to Rs 3,239.87 a bbl on April 25, 2017 as compared to Rs 3,282.55 a bbl on April 24, 2017.

Rupee closed stronger at Rs. 64.28 per USD on April 25, 2017 as against Rs. 64.48 per USD on April 24, 2017.

Local stock markets continued to rise for the second day on Wednesday. Both Sensex and Nifty were trading at a new life time high. At 12.54 p.m, the Sensex was trading up 143.46 points or 0.48% at 30,086.70 with 17 components gaining. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading higher by 44.80 points or 0.48% at 9,351.40 with 27 components gaining.
