Transport Corporation of India (TCI) has acquired a new ship to be deployed on the west coast. The cost of acquisition was around USD 5.5 million which was funded by internal accruals and loan from bank(s). The company has acquired the ship on March 2, 2017, with an aim of business expansion.
The company currently has 4 domestic ships with the capacity of 3500-10600 DWT. Of the four ships, three are deployed on the east coast and one on the west coast.
Shares of the company declined Rs 0.1, or 0.05%, to settle at Rs 204.85. The total volume of shares traded was 12,206 at the BSE (Thursday).
