India's largest automobile company, Tata Motors registered a rise of 8.23% in group global wholesales in December 2014 including Jaguar Land Rover, were at 85,742 units in December as compared with 79,220 units for the same period in the previous year. Cumulative wholesales for this fiscal were at 713,530 units, lower by 5%, over last fiscal.
Global wholesales of all Tata Motors' commercial vehicles and Tata Daewoo range in December 2014 were 30,597 units, a growth of 4%, over December 2013. Cumulative commercial vehicles wholesales for this fiscal were 277,215 units, lower by 18%, over last fiscal.
Global wholesales of all passenger vehicles in December 2014 were at 55,145 units, higher by 11%, over December 2013. Cumulative passenger vehicles wholesales for this fiscal were 436,315 units, a growth of 4%, over last fiscal.
Global wholesales of Tata Motors’ passenger vehicles in December 2014 were at 12,183 units, higher by 29%, over December 2013. Cumulative wholesales for the fiscal were at 94,997 units, lower by 13%, compared to last fiscal.
Global wholesales for Jaguar Land Rover for the month were 42,962 vehicles, a growth of 7%, over December 2013. Jaguar wholesales for the month were 6,816 vehicles and cumulative wholesales were 56,418 vehicles, while Land Rover wholesales for the month were 36,146 vehicles and cumulative wholesales were 284,900 vehicles. Cumulative wholesales for Jaguar Land Rover for this fiscal were at 341,318 vehicles, higher by 10%, over last fiscal.
Shares of the company gained Rs 4.95, or 0.95%, to trade at Rs 524.50 at the BSE (10.01 a.m., Wednesday).
