Suven Life Sciences announces today that the grant of one product patent from Singapore corresponding to the New Chemical Entities (NCEs) for the treatment of disorders associated with Neurodegenerative diseases and these Patents are valid through 2033.

The granted claims of the patents include the class of selective 5-HT4 compounds and are being developed as therapeutic agents and are useful in the treatment of cognitive impairment associated with neurodegenerative disorders like Alzheimer's disease, Attention deficient hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), Huntington's disease, Parkinson and Schizophrenia.

Shares of the company gained Rs 5.4, or 2.44%, to trade at Rs 226.85. The total volume of shares traded was 133,146 at the BSE (10.31 a.m., Wednesday).
