NTPC has commenced commercial operation of 2nd Unit of 195 MW of Muzaffarpur Thermal Power Station Stage-II (2 X 195 MW) of Kanti Bijlee Utpadan Nigam (a subsidiary of NTPC) with effect from July 01, 2017.

With this, the commercial capacity of Muzaffarpur Thermal Power Station has become 610 MW and that of NTPC group has become 47,488 MW.

Total volume of shares traded on the bourses today was lower by 83.27% to 817,359 compared with 22-day average volume of 4,886,901.

Shares of the company gained Rs 1.7, or 1.09%, to trade at Rs 158.30. The total volume of shares traded was 97,137 at the BSE (10.13 a.m., Tuesday).
