NHPC has signed the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) in respect of seven power stations namely Bairasiul, Salal, Tanakpur, Chamera-I, Uri-I, Sewa-II and Chamera-III on August 08, 2017, with BSES Yamuna Power (BYPL).

The agreement is for a period of 35 years from the date of commercial operation (COD) of the respective power stations.

Total volume of shares traded on the bourses today was lower by 8.71% to 4,936,688 compared with 22-day average volume of 5,407,702.

Shares of the company declined Rs 0.45, or 1.44%, to trade at Rs 30.75. The total volume of shares settled was 331,704 at the BSE (Wednesday).
