Maruti Suzuki India, the largest passenger cars maker in India, announced a sold 160,598 units in March 2018, which was 14.9% higher compared with 139,763 units in March 2017.
The company's domestic sales during the month stood at 148,582 units, compared with 127,999 units in March last year, representing a rise of 16.1%.
The company exported 12,016 vehicles in March 2018, which was 2.1% higher compared with 11,764 units sold in March 2017.
Shares of the company gained Rs 183.5, or 2.07%, to trade at Rs 9,046.65. The total volume of shares traded was 15,168 at the BSE (10.38 a.m., Monday).
