The construction arm of Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has won orders worth Rs 15.85 billion across various business segments.

The transportation infrastructure business has won an order worth Rs 5.13 billion. The power transmission and distribution business has won orders worth Rs 5 billion. The water and effluent treatment business has won an order worth Rs 3.71 billion.

The metallurgical and material handling business has bagged orders worth Rs 2.01 billion in the area of Blast Furnace Revamp & product business. The core strength of the business continues to win customer's strong faith and confidence in its capability to deliver complex projects / products.

Shares of the company gained Rs 7.35, or 0.54%, to trade at Rs 1,365.05. The total volume of shares traded was 74,577 at the BSE (12.59 p.m., Thursday).
