JSW Steel has reported monthly crude steel production of 1.28 million tonnes (MT) in April 2017 with a growth of 7% over the corresponding month in 2016.
The production of rolled products (flat) during the month increased to 0.93 MT, a rise of 5.68%, as compared to 0.88 MT in April 2016.
The production of rolled products (long) however, increased to 0.29 MT compared to 0.26 MT in April 2016, representing a rose of 12%.
Total volume of shares traded on the bourses today was lower by 61.38% to 2,510,806 compared with 22-day average volume of 6,500,489.
Shares of the company gained Rs 2.7, or 1.41%, to trade at Rs 194.00. The total volume of shares traded was 227,977 at the BSE (11.42 a.m., Tuesday).
