JSW Steel reported 5% growth in production of crude steel at 1.52 million tonnes in March 2018 compared to 1.45 million tonnes in March 2017. The monthly production of 1.52 million tonnes for the month of March 2018 signifies a capacity utilisation of 101%. During the month of March 2018, the production of flat rolled products was 1.05 million tonnes and long rolled products was 0.37 million tonnes.
For Q4 FY 2017-18, the production of crude steel stood higher by 5% at 4.31 million tonnes compared to 4.10 million tonnes in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
For FY 2017-18, the production of crude steel stood higher by 3% at 16.27 million tonnes compared to 15.80 million tonnes in the corresponding period of the previous year.
Shares of the company gained Rs 1.7, or 0.56%, to trade at Rs 304.00. The total volume of shares traded was 35,873 at the BSE (9.59 a.m., Wednesday).
