JSW Steel has reported monthly crude steel production of 1.35 million tonnes (MT) in May 2017 with a growth of 1% over the corresponding month in 2016.

The production of rolled products (flat) during the month increased to 0.93 MT, a rise of 1%, as compared to 0.88 MT in May 2016.

The production of rolled products (long) however, increased to 0.30 MT compared to 0.26 MT in May 2016, representing a rose of 4%.

Total volume of shares traded on the bourses today was lower by 45.21% to 4,604,116 compared with 22-day average volume of 8,402,779.

Shares of the company declined Rs 1.35, or 0.68%, to settle at Rs 197.70. The total volume of shares traded was 340,001 at the BSE (Tuesday).
