JSW Steel has completed the acquisition of the entire 74% stake of Praxair India in JSW Praxair Oxygen (JPOPL), for a cash consideration of Rs 2.40 billion. Post the aforesaid acquisition, JPOPL has become a wholly owned subsidiary of the company.

Total volume of shares traded on the bourses today was lower by 13.55% to 768,921 compared with 22-day average volume of 889,444.

Shares of the company gained Rs 18.4, or 1.05%, to trade at  Rs 1,767.05.  The total volume of shares traded  was  38,430 at the BSE (12.16 p.m., Wednesday).
